Marketing is probably the most difficult task an indie author undertakes. Convincing others to see your book just as you do, expressing meanwhile the need for such a paperback stacked among the rest on a table display in their bookstores.
While most are receptive, asking that I provide a sell-sheet detailing everything about the book, publicity plans and sales information and also bibliographic details, they cannot guarantee at the end of the day they would carry the book.
I am okay with that. I would rather strive to reach out and be rejected, then to wonder if I should have, could I have?
So, wish me luck. I am reaching out to all the necessary channels to get my novel visibility in traditional bookstores as I believe that is still the best way to be noticed.
