I have to admit. This exercise of answering journal questions has helped maintain a sense of balance during these most difficult of times.
Write about your first love — whether a person, place or thing
- Paris – There is no doubt in my mind that what I felt when seeing Paris for the first time, when I was eleven – was the absolute definition of love.
Make a list of 30 things that make you smile.
- Puppies, dolphins, animals encouraging their babes, hummingbirds, a beautifully composed quote, or a song that whisks me away, sunsets, sunrises, the glistening ocean, full moon, the rustling of leaves while walking in a park, a waterfall, a stolen glance, an instant attraction, a walk through an ancient cathedral, or place of worship, butterflies, Venice, Italy, an accidental discovery of hidden paths while exploring a destination, French gardens, English gardens, The Cotswolds, reading a good book, while laying on a blanket under the trees, stars at night, the sound of the ocean from an opened window, the clanking of dishes, my second novel, The Sounds of Music, my childhood in a far away land.
The words I’d like to live by are…
- live life to the fullest
