In the past week or more, I’ve reached out to several bookstores franchises to introduce my book. Some offering positive feedback, while others not so promising and in between are those, who forward their criteria for selling books in their stores, detailing mostly that self-published authors have not a chance in getting a 6×9 space on their bookshelves.
While I strive daily to promote my book, I keep telling myself not to let anything get me down. That I need to stand firm on the belief, my novel will for certain succeed. At the same time, I make a new to-do list of who to contact next, remembering the very reason I dabbled in sales years ago. I laugh.
